Woman Arrested for Alleged Bomb Threat in Utrecht

The woman who caused a disturbance at a police station in Utrecht last Friday is suspected of making threats of a terrorist act and a false bomb report, according to confirmation from the Public Prosecution Service following reports by AD. The suspect is a 44-year-old woman from Bunnik.

She entered the Paardenveld police station in central Utrecht on Friday afternoon, making statements that prompted the immediate evacuation of the facility. She was subsequently arrested, and the area around the police station was cordoned off, with the nearby parking garage closed.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service investigated two objects but found nothing dangerous. The police investigation is ongoing, and while specific details of her statements remain unknown, her pre-trial detention was extended by 14 days on Monday.
