US police uncover vital clues in healthcare executive murder

The American police believe they have found the backpack of the suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare executive Brian Thompson. Following a search using dogs and drones, the bag was located in Central Park, where the suspect had fled.

The police are gathering evidence on the suspect’s escape route, with indications he left New York by bus. Surveillance footage shows the suspect taking a taxi to a bus station with departures to New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington D.C., entering the station but not leaving it.

The police also possess fingerprints and DNA evidence, and the backpack has been sent for forensic analysis. The murder of Thompson, who was in New York for an investment conference, has stirred significant attention in the United States.

He was shot in the chest and died despite medical efforts. The New York police suggest the murder was well-planned, noting the use of a silencer and bullets with words like “delay,” “deny,” and “depose” inscribed on them.

Despite the abundance of evidence, the suspect’s identity and motive remain unknown. The police released photos of the suspect, who often concealed his face with a mask but lowered it while talking to a hostel employee, reportedly to flirt.

The suspect arrived in New York on November 24, traveling from Atlanta by bus, using false identification, and paying in cash at various establishments.
