Ukrainian military captures North Korean soldiers

Ukrainian President Zelensky announced that the military has captured two North Korean soldiers, who have been transferred to Kyiv for questioning. Zelensky posted photos of the prisoners, which may violate the Geneva Conventions.

He noted that both soldiers are wounded but alive and are receiving necessary medical care. Previously, another North Korean soldier was captured but died from injuries.

Approximately 10,000 North Korean troops are estimated to be fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine, mainly in the Kursk region. The involvement of North Korea in the conflict raises concerns for other countries.
