UK Health Minister Wes Streeting has criticized recent comments by tech billionaire Elon Musk on the social media platform X. Musk, who owns the platform and is a confidant of the incoming U.S. President Trump, accused Prime Minister Starmer of failing to prosecute gangs that sexually exploit children. Musk referred to the period when Starmer was head of the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013, calling it a crime against humanity.
Musk also believes UK Security Minister Phillips should face jail time for allegedly blocking a public inquiry into child exploitation in Oldham. Streeting responded by stating that Musk is not well-informed and invited him to join the government’s efforts against child exploitation.
