Two 15-year-old boys from Boxmeer and Oploo have been arrested on suspicion of arson at a transport company in Oss. In early December, a large fire on the premises destroyed four trucks, causing damage estimated in the hundreds of thousands.
Police suspect that the two minors were recruited by someone else to start the fire, and further arrests are not ruled out, according to Omroep Brabant. The fire broke out on December 1 around 1:30 a.m.
The fire department could not prevent the loss of four trucks and a trailer, and a nearby warehouse and several trucks inside were also damaged. People were sleeping in a building next to the burning trucks, but no one was injured.
Police quickly suspected arson, as camera footage showed two individuals leaving the site shortly after the fire started. The motive for the arson remains unclear.
