Three Dutch Nationals Die in Düsseldorf Car Accident

The traffic accident in Düsseldorf that resulted in the deaths of three Dutch nationals was caused by the driver becoming unwell, as confirmed by the German police. The driver, a 60-year-old man, died instantly, while a 53-year-old man and woman succumbed to their injuries later.

A fourth passenger, reportedly a 54-year-old man seated behind the driver, is critically injured in the hospital. A 54-year-old German man standing at a bus stop was severely injured by flying debris and remains in critical condition.

A cyclist was also injured but has been discharged from the hospital. According to Omroep Gelderland, the deceased victims were from Groenlo and Lichtenvoorde, and the injured passenger also hails from Gelderland.

They were in Düsseldorf for a company outing organized by a technical wholesaler from Groenlo, which was owned by the deceased driver. The accident occurred on Saturday at a roundabout in northern Düsseldorf when the car approached at high speed, skidded, and overturned multiple times before coming to a stop.
