Three Arrested in Connection with The Hague Explosion

The police arrested three individuals last night for potential involvement in the explosion at an apartment building in The Hague, according to a police spokesperson. Several vehicles have been seized, though it is unclear if the car that sped away from the scene is among them.

The suspects are being held in solitary confinement and can only contact their lawyers. On Saturday morning, part of an apartment complex on Tarwekamp exploded.

The building houses both residences and businesses. The explosion resulted in the death of at least six people, including three members of the same family: a 45-year-old father, a 41-year-old mother, and their 17-year-old daughter.

Their 8-year-old son survived. The other victims were men aged 31, 44, and 63.

In total, nineteen households were affected. Residents and business owners were briefly allowed back to retrieve belongings yesterday afternoon.

Police are investigating the site for clues and are also looking into a car that fled the scene at high speed during the explosion.
