Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of involvement in the three fatal shootings in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde. He was detained today in his hometown of Assen and is being held for questioning.
His exact role is still under investigation. The boy is the third suspect in this case.
On December 30, a 20-year-old from Amsterdam was arrested on suspicion of involvement in two murders. Three days later, following the third murder, the alleged shooter, Sendric S., was arrested.
The 24-year-old man, who has no fixed address, is believed to have shot three men dead over a twelve-day period in the Rotterdam district of IJsselmonde. The victims were men aged 58, 63, and 81.
S. remains in custody. During his arrest in a Rotterdam residence, the firearm believed to have been used in the murders was found.
He remains in detention.
