A Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, resulting in the death of the driver, according to a spokesperson for the state of Nevada. Seven other people sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Video footage shows the vehicle catching fire following a large explosion, followed by several smaller blasts. The Cybertruck had been rented by the driver.
Las Vegas police are working to retrieve the body from the futuristic vehicle, and the identity of the occupant is not yet known.
