Teenager arrested in Belgium over mosque attack plot

In Belgium, a young far-right extremist was arrested this morning for allegedly planning an attack on a mosque. The attack was reportedly intended to occur tomorrow.

Justice Minister Paul Van Tigchelt stated in parliament that the boy is fourteen years old. According to Belgian authorities, he has been placed in a closed youth facility, and weapons were discovered during a house search.

The attack was allegedly planned for Friday prayers, the busiest time of the week. The boy is said to be from Brussels, but the targeted mosque has not been identified.
