The four suspects involved in the explosions on Tarwekamp in The Hague will remain in custody. The examining magistrate decided to keep them in pretrial detention for at least 14 more days.
The men are accused of arson and causing an explosion that resulted in six deaths and four injuries. They are also suspected of setting a car on fire and preparing to commit arson.
Three suspects, aged 33, 29, and 23, were arrested on Monday in Rotterdam and Roosendaal, while a fourth suspect, aged 33, was detained in Oosterhout on Wednesday. The explosions, which occurred in a residential building, claimed six lives, including three family members, and police suspect a bridal shop on the ground floor was the target.
Many homes collapsed due to the blasts, displacing 19 households, with temporary accommodations provided for 14 of them by a housing corporation. The suspects are in complete isolation, allowing only contact with their lawyer.
