Suspects in The Hague explosion planned attack earlier

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the four suspects in the devastating explosion on Tarwekamp in The Hague had intended to start a fire or cause an explosion a week earlier. Two of the suspects were checked by police on December 1, six days before the explosion.

They were behaving suspiciously in a van at a parking lot in Oosterhout. The police discovered heavy fireworks and jerrycans of gasoline in the van’s cargo area.

The explosion on Tarwekamp resulted in six fatalities: three family members, a man visiting a friend, a resident whose family lives in Greece, and a man living in one of the apartments with his wife. Four people were injured.

The Public Prosecution Service has received 37 reports following the explosion, including from affected residents, relatives, and local residents.
