Suspects in Dutch Museum Art Theft Identified

Several suspects in the art theft at the Drents Museum have been identified as being from North Holland, according to police investigations. Since the theft occurred overnight from Friday to Saturday, inquiries have been conducted in Alkmaar, Witmarsum, Groningen, Assen, and Rolde.

This has led to “interesting leads,” many of which are in North Holland, as stated by the police. Specific details have not been disclosed.

Four Romanian art treasures, including the iconic Cotofenesti helmet, were stolen in the heist. These pieces were on loan from the National History Museum in Bucharest.
