Snowfall to Cause Traffic Disruptions Across the Country

The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a warning for slippery conditions across the country due to expected snowfall. Between 1 to 5 centimeters of snow is anticipated, which may affect traffic with limited visibility.

Snow is forecast to begin from the southwest during the night and early Sunday morning. “Temperatures will drop to freezing tonight, and snow will start from the southwest at 4:00 AM, reaching the north by 9:00 AM,” stated NOS meteorologist Marco Verhoef.

Milder air will move into the Netherlands as the morning progresses, turning the snow into rain, initially in the southwest and by early afternoon in the northeast. Temperatures are expected to rise to between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius.
