This week, police arrested a sixth suspect in connection with an explosion at a police officer’s home in Tholen, Zeeland, in September last year. The 29-year-old man is suspected of placing and igniting the explosive device on the night of September 27, 2023.
The officer’s family, including two young children, was home but unharmed, though the house sustained damage. The motive for the attack is believed to be a fine one of the suspects received.
Previously, five suspects were arrested in March, including three men and two women, who allegedly drove the getaway car. Four have been released but remain suspects.
The sixth suspect, already known to authorities, was in custody for another investigation and has had his detention extended by fourteen days as the investigation continues.
