Six killed in restaurant explosion and fire in Czech Republic

An explosion and subsequent fire in a restaurant in the Czech Republic have resulted in the deaths of six people, with eight others hospitalized, according to the fire department. The incident occurred in the center of the industrial city of Most, located in the northwest of the country.

Witnesses reported that the fire started when a gas heater fell over, causing the gas cylinder to explode. The flames spread rapidly, with local radio reporting that the building was completely destroyed by the fire.

Firefighters managed to rescue one severely injured diner trapped inside. Approximately thirty people escaped from the restaurant and adjacent buildings to safety.
