Severe sentences demanded for Curacao robbery suspects

On Curaçao, severe sentences have been demanded for three of the four suspects involved in the home invasion that resulted in the death of Toon Brood, an adjutant of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, in May of this year. The Public Prosecution Service has charged them with qualified manslaughter, a legal term for manslaughter committed to conceal another crime, which typically carries a sixteen-year sentence.

However, the prosecution sees aggravating circumstances in this case.
