A second Dutch citizen has died following a serious car accident in Düsseldorf yesterday morning. The 53-year-old man succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Two passengers remain critically injured. Earlier reports confirmed that the 60-year-old driver died.
The four Dutch nationals were speeding through the Golzheim district around 10:30 AM yesterday. German media reported that the BMW skidded for unknown reasons and rolled over several times, hitting a traffic light and a cyclist.
The cyclist has since been discharged from the hospital. A man sitting at a bus stop was struck by flying debris and is in critical condition.
The vehicle broke into pieces upon impact, scattering parts over a wide area. The passengers had to be extricated from the wreck.
