Search for Missing 58-year-old in Amersfoort Intensifies

In Amersfoort, an extensive search is underway for 58-year-old Ahmed Oulad Sedik, who has been missing since Monday, according to RTV Utrecht. Oulad Sedik was last seen at his home in the Dorrestein neighborhood after being dropped off from his day care program.

His daughter, Souhailla, discovered his shoes and coat missing when she came to pick him up. The family reports that he has intellectual disabilities, dementia, and diabetes.

Souhailla expressed deep concern, stating that her father’s mental state has regressed to that of a two-year-old over the years. The case has mobilized many volunteers, with sixty people gathering today at a community center to assist, and 160 searching a forest near Amersfoort last night.

Yalcin, a volunteer, emphasized the urgency of the situation, saying, “This man needs help, and quickly.” Amersfoort Mayor Bolsius also commented on the situation, urging anyone with information to contact the police immediately. Souhailla is encouraging the public to share his photo on social media in hopes of locating him.
