Prosecutor demands prison for men threatening police

The Public Prosecution Service has demanded over three years of imprisonment for 53-year-old Roeland M., with more than one and a half years suspended. For 54-year-old co-defendant Paolo P. from Utrecht, two years of imprisonment have been requested, with one year suspended.

The men are accused of threatening police officers and a bailiff, and attempting to extort the police. Additionally, M. is suspected of incitement and threatening with a terrorist offense.

Last year, he reportedly emailed the police, claiming masked men would block and shoot a police vehicle.
