Prisoner releases expected amid Israel-Palestine ceasefire

This morning, a new group of Palestinians is expected to be released from Israeli prisons, followed by Hamas releasing four Israeli soldiers later today. This is part of the second round of releases under the initial phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.

The names of the four soldiers were announced yesterday, but the identities of the released Palestinians remain unknown. Per the agreement, for every female Israeli soldier released, 50 Palestinian women and children are to be freed.

With Hamas reportedly releasing four female soldiers, Israel is expected to release 200 Palestinians, primarily women and children.
