Person of interest questioned in UnitedHealthcare CEO’s murder

U.S. police are questioning a man in connection with the murder of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, who was shot dead last week at a hotel in New York. The suspect, found with fake IDs and a weapon resembling the murder weapon, was detained in a Pennsylvania restaurant after being recognized from wanted photos.

He is currently held on charges of presenting a fake ID but is considered a person of interest by authorities. The murder is believed to be premeditated, with bullet casings at the scene inscribed with the words “delay,” “deny,” and “depose,” possibly alluding to insurance claim practices under scrutiny.
