One Victim Dies After Rotterdam Shooting Incident

One of the men injured in a shooting at a venue in Rotterdam last weekend died today in the hospital due to his injuries. The deceased is a 43-year-old man from Hoorn.

The incident occurred at the Galvanistraat venue around 4 a.m. on Sunday, when multiple shots were fired.

Two victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition. One of them has now passed away, according to Rijnmond.

The other victim, a 24-year-old man from Amsterdam, is now responsive. Earlier today, the venue was closed for two weeks by Mayor Schouten, with the aim of restoring calm to the neighborhood.

At the time of the shooting, an event was taking place in the complex, and many people witnessed the incident, according to police. Shortly after the shooting, two suspects were arrested.

A 46-year-old man from Rotterdam has been released after questioning and is no longer a suspect. A 43-year-old man from Amsterdam remains in custody as his involvement is still under investigation.
