Neighborhood Coaches Increased in Den Dolder After Incident

The deployment of neighborhood coaches in Den Dolder will be expanded starting Monday, according to the forensic psychiatry institution Fivoor. This decision follows last week’s fatal stabbing of a 76-year-old woman, with the suspect being a patient of the clinic.

The coaches will be present on Fivoor’s grounds and in the village, focusing on areas frequented by patients, such as routes to the village, the station, and shops. They will also serve as contact points for residents and business owners.

Additionally, Fivoor has decided that patients will not be allowed to enter the village until at least January 20, unless it is strictly necessary and they are accompanied to the center of Den Dolder. A residents’ meeting was held last night in response to the stabbing incident.

Residents have long been concerned about the psychiatric clinic. Michael P., who killed Anne Faber in 2017, was also a patient there, and many would prefer the institution to leave.
