In Amsterdam, a total of seven explosions occurred last night. Police described it as an “explosive night” and are investigating possible connections between the incidents.
Six of the explosions took place at residences in the Nieuw-West district, starting at around 8:00 PM on Jacques Veltmanstraat, followed by Orteliuskade, Laan van Spartaan, Johan Hofmanstraat, Hoofdweg, and Jan Zijvertszstraat. Another explosion occurred at a residence on Krulslaplantsoen in Amsterdam-Zuidoost.
There were no injuries, but the residences suffered damage, according to the police. Local broadcaster AT5 reported significant damage, including shattered windows and heavily damaged doors.
The police stated that the final six explosions occurred roughly between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM in quick succession. Witnesses or individuals with security camera, dashcam, or video doorbell footage are urged to come forward.
