Police have detained three minors for alleged involvement in the explosions on John Raedeckerstraat in Almere, where an explosive went off for three consecutive days. Today, a 16-year-old boy will appear before a magistrate.
Police report that the other two minors were arrested because one possessed a weapon and the other had drugs. It is still under investigation whether they were involved in the explosions.
Their ages have not been disclosed. The investigation into the explosions continues, and further arrests are not ruled out.
Due to the series of incidents, Almere’s mayor designated the area around John Raedeckerstraat as a high-risk zone on January 10, allowing police to conduct preventive searches and vehicle checks. During this period, two suspects, a 34-year-old woman from Almere and a 44-year-old man with an unknown residence, were arrested for firearm possession.
This investigation is also ongoing.
