Martijn Krabbé has disclosed on Instagram that he has been diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer. The television presenter stated, “I have lung cancer on the right side with metastasis in the left hemisphere of the brain.
It is in the final stage and incurable.” Krabbé previously shared in March last year that he had cancer, but did not specify the type, mentioning only that there were several treatment options. On Instagram, Krabbé explained that he kept the recent developments private to prevent speculation about his life expectancy.
However, he and his family now feel they are emotionally prepared to handle the situation. Krabbé has hosted numerous TV and radio shows since the 1980s, including The Voice of Holland and the popular RTL program Kopen Zonder Kijken.
Due to his illness, he was not on set during the filming of a new season, but he did provide the voice-overs for the episodes.
