KLM to Cut 250 Office Jobs to Reduce Costs

To save money, airline KLM plans to cut 250 office jobs as part of a cost-saving plan announced in October. CEO Marjan Rintel stated that reducing costs is crucial for the future, and difficult choices must be made, including reducing office roles.

Although KLM aims to avoid forced layoffs, it cannot be ruled out. Previously, KLM decided to postpone the construction of a new headquarters and other building investments.

Additionally, employee productivity must increase by 5%. KLM is considering other measures to raise annual profits by approximately 450 million euros.

The airline will continue recruiting for operational roles, such as cabin crew and pilots.
