Three days after the explosions in The Hague, the cause of the disaster that resulted in six deaths remains unclear. Police report no evidence of a drug lab in the affected apartment complex on Tarwekamp, and while foul play is still considered, other scenarios are also being explored.
The search for victims concluded on Monday afternoon, with no missing persons reported. The identities of all victims have been confirmed.
Among the deceased are a 45-year-old father, a 41-year-old mother, and their 17-year-old daughter; an 8-year-old boy from the same family survived. The other victims are men aged 31, 44, and 63.
An assembly was held in Delft for emergency responders to discuss the incident, attended by around 300 personnel from various services. Deputy Fire Chief Martin Evers emphasized the importance of such gatherings for responders to ask questions and support each other.
The session also honored the victims and injured. Evers expressed satisfaction with the cooperation among emergency services, despite the tragic loss of six lives.
