In Germany, a hospital employee was fatally shot by a man with a crossbow at the Hardtwaldklinik in Bad Zwesten on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect, a 58-year-old man from the Passau region near the Austrian border, entered the hospital and shot a 50-year-old woman, who died at the scene.
The man fled but was apprehended hours later at a highway rest area in Bavaria. German authorities collected evidence at the scene, although the exact nature of this evidence has not been disclosed.
The police are investigating the incident and the suspect’s motive remains unknown, as does any potential relationship between the suspect and the victim.
