A fire at The Ember Hotel in Bangkok resulted in the deaths of three people: an American, a Ukrainian man, and a Brazilian woman, as reported by the Bangkok Post. Seven others were injured, including two Dutch nationals.
The fire, which broke out last night, started in a room on the fifth floor of the six-story hotel. Three South Korean men were reportedly staying in that room, and the police are seeking them for questioning.
The fire was extinguished after an hour. The Brazilian woman died in the room where the fire started; she had been recently engaged.
The hotel has been closed due to the fire, and the Thai Ministry of Tourism has announced compensation for the victims.
