Explosion at temporary housing facility in Apeldoorn

An explosion occurred last night at a temporary housing facility in Apeldoorn, managed by the JP van den Bent Foundation. The incident took place around 4:30 AM near the main entrance of the facility.

No injuries were reported. While it is unclear how many people were inside at the time, police noted that 15 to 20 people are registered to stay there, though not everyone was present due to the holidays.

Glass was found on the pavement, and windows on the ground and first floors were shattered. Residents were evacuated to another building of the same organization but returned after about an hour.

Police are investigating the incident and have not yet identified the cause of the explosion.
