Dutch Government’s Cloud Use Poses Security Risks

The national government’s use of cloud services is seen as thoughtless, with insufficient attention to risks, according to a review by the Dutch Court of Audit. If services go bankrupt, it could cause issues for citizens and businesses.

There is also a concern that stored data might not be adequately protected. Cloud services provide access to files and software over the internet, accessible from multiple devices.

These include services like OneDrive and those for visa issuance or taxes.
