Dutch Fugitive Arrested in Kenya for Child Abuse Charges

In Kenya, a Dutch man who has been evading capture for four years following a conviction for child abuse has been arrested, according to various Kenyan media. De Telegraaf reports that the man was convicted in 2020 for indecent acts with two children in the Netherlands, aged between 12 and 16.

Following his conviction, he fled to Kenya, where he had previously lived. The man, identified as Jan B., was arrested on Tuesday at the request of the Netherlands.

A decision on his extradition will be made by a judge on January 28.
