In the German city of Düsseldorf, a Dutch man aged 60 was killed in a car accident. He was driving the vehicle.
Five people sustained injuries: three Dutch passengers and two pedestrians. Among the injured passengers, a 53-year-old man and woman are in critical condition, while the third is stable.
A 54-year-old German injured by flying debris is also critically injured. A 69-year-old woman hit by the car while cycling is seriously injured.
According to police reports, the driver was speeding in his BMW when he lost control at a roundabout, overturned several times, and stopped near a bus stop. He died at the scene.
Photos show extensive damage, with the engine block and wheels scattered on the road. The crash site, near a large cemetery in northern Düsseldorf, about 50 kilometers from the Venlo border, remains closed for investigation and cleanup.
