Drents Museum reopens after art heist

The Drents Museum in Assen will reopen on Friday following the art theft that occurred over the past weekend. The museum stated it needs additional time to continue the ongoing investigation, repair damage, and prepare for the new exhibition.

During the theft, which took place overnight from Friday to Saturday, key pieces from Romania were stolen, including the renowned Cotofenesti golden helmet and three gold bracelets. These items were on loan from the National History Museum in Bucharest.
