Defense to Provide Female Soldiers with Specialized Vests

This year, female soldiers will receive specially designed protective vests. The Ministry of Defense is purchasing 1,530 vests from TYR Tactical.

Up to now, both male and female soldiers have worn the same type of vest. The new vest for women offers more adjustment options than the current model, providing a better fit for the female torso.

It is also lighter than the men’s vest. Female special forces have already been using these specialized vests and have expressed high satisfaction, prompting the Ministry of Defense to supply them to all female soldiers.

Delivery of the 1,530 vests is expected around summer. Of these, 1,500 will be used in missions and 30 will be allocated for research.

Additionally, the Ministry of Defense has an option to purchase 7,000 more vests.
