Ukraine and Russia are accusing each other of a deadly missile attack on a school in the Ukraine-occupied Russian city of Sudzha, located in the Kursk region. Ukrainian forces have controlled large areas of this region since August last year.
The attack resulted in at least four fatalities, with nearly a hundred people trapped under the rubble. At least 84 individuals have been rescued, though several remain critically injured.
The school building, used primarily for evacuating residents, especially the elderly, has been entirely destroyed. A Ukrainian military official claims it was a deliberate Russian attack, emphasizing rescue efforts for survivors.
President Zelensky criticized Russia’s tactics, stating on X that Russia bombarded its own citizens. Meanwhile, Russia denies the allegations, asserting the missile originated from Ukrainian territory.
