Court Orders Van Lienden to Repay €20 Million

Sywert van Lienden and his business partners, Bernd Damme and Camille van Gestel, are required to repay over €20 million to the Stichting Hulptroepen Alliantie, as ruled by the Amsterdam court in the face mask case. This sum represents the profit made from a deal to supply face masks to the government.

While the State also claimed the funds, the court determined they should go to the foundation. The foundation plans to use the money for charitable causes, such as the Stichting Long Covid.

However, the funds are not immediately available due to an ongoing criminal case against Van Lienden and his associates, where the Public Prosecution Service has also secured a lien on the millions.
