Confiscated Audi A3 donated to Rotterdam technical school

The Rotterdam Technical College now offers aspiring auto mechanics the chance to train with a unique vehicle: an Audi A3 confiscated from a drug criminal and donated by the Public Prosecution Service. According to 18-year-old student Ihab, this car, despite its criminal past, offers invaluable learning opportunities.

Under the initiative “crime should not pay,” the Public Prosecution Service seeks to reinvest confiscated assets into society. Previously, a complete drug ship was donated to the Shipping & Transport College in Rotterdam.

Prosecutor Loes van der Wees noted the car’s negative origins and the intention to repurpose it positively. College director Marc Meijer is pleased with the addition, highlighting its uniqueness compared to other donations.

Ihab suspects the car is enhanced for speed, noting the quality of its engine. It remains uncertain if more vehicles will be donated, but the college welcomes any contributions.
