The Public Prosecution Service has demanded community service for two Almere residents following a road rage incident on the A6 near Naarden on May 5, 2021. According to news agency ANP, the confrontation led to a serious traffic accident when one of the suspects stopped his car in the middle of the road.
The other suspect had to brake hard, resulting in a collision with a following vehicle. The collision caused severe injuries to both the female suspect and the driver behind her.
The dispute between Eelke T. (48) and Selima Z. (39) reportedly started in Almere and continued on the A6. ANP reports that both suspects have offered different accounts of the events.
The prosecution stated that neither has been fully forthcoming, but it is clear they obstructed each other in traffic and exhibited dangerous driving. T. eventually stopped his car while traveling at 91 kilometers per hour, with five family members inside.
He and his family were unharmed. The prosecution demanded 240 hours of community service for T. due to reckless driving.
For Z., the prosecutor demanded 80 hours of community service for serious traffic violations. She suffered severe injuries and had to be extracted from her car wreck.
