Colombia resolves migrant impasse with US

The deadlock between Colombia and the United States has been resolved. Initially, Colombia refused to allow US military planes carrying migrants to land on its territory.

However, after threats from the US, Colombia agreed to retrieve the migrants itself. Two deportation flights were denied entry by Colombia, prompting US President Trump to halt visa processing at the US embassy in Bogotá and impose a 25% tariff on Colombian goods.

In response, Colombian President Petro announced a reciprocal tariff hike on US goods.
