At least 30 people were killed in a collision between a bus and a truck in southeastern Brazil. Thirteen others were taken to the hospital, according to Brazilian authorities.
The accident occurred on a highway in the state of Minas Gerais. The bus had departed from São Paulo with 45 passengers.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Some eyewitnesses reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to a tire blowout, causing it to crash into a truck.
Others informed rescue workers that the bus was first struck by loose rocks. A third vehicle was also hit by the bus, but the three occupants survived the accident.
