A regional bus veered into a ditch after a collision with a car near Rotterdam. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM on the N218 provincial road in Zwartewaal.
According to regional broadcaster Rijnmond, twenty people were on the bus, some of whom sustained injuries. One injured person was found after half an hour, resuscitated, and taken to the hospital.
The condition of this individual is unknown. Three others with minor injuries were also hospitalized.
The car driver was extracted by the fire department, but it is unclear whether they were injured. The car suffered significant damage, with the front and side crushed and debris scattered on the road.
The wheels were misaligned as well. The cause of the collision remains unknown, though a local photojournalist suggests the bus might have been traveling on the bus lane of the provincial road when struck by a car from a side road.
