Brothers Claim Deceased Father Committed Enschede Murders

The two brothers, convicted alongside their father for a quadruple murder in Enschede, claim that their now-deceased father acted alone in committing the crime. This revelation emerged during their appeal hearing today.

In November 2018, four men were shot at close range in a grow shop in Enschede. Father Camil A. and his sons Dejan (38) and Denis (36) were sentenced to life in prison two years later, immediately filing an appeal.

Until now, the defendants exercised their right to remain silent in court. Today, Dejan broke his silence, stating that the silence was a tactic advised by his former lawyers, as reported by regional broadcaster Oost.

“I have learned that remaining silent is unhelpful, and speaking up is more beneficial,” he said.
