Dutch company ASML is contributing to four construction projects in Noord-Brabant, helping to cover budget gaps and enabling the building of 1,085 homes. Earlier this year, ASML also pledged financial support for two other housing projects in the Brainport region, which includes 21 municipalities in Noord-Brabant.
The homes are intended for social and regulated middle-income rentals, catering to essential workers such as healthcare staff and police officers, rather than ASML employees. The company aims to address the housing shortage exacerbated in part by its own success.
The financial commitment amounts to several million euros, allowing for the construction of 305 homes in Veldhoven, 104 in Helmond, and two projects with 276 and 400 homes in Eindhoven. ASML’s ambition is to support the construction of a total of 25,000 homes in the region.
ASML is the most valuable company in the Netherlands and a global leader in developing advanced chip-making machines.
