Amnesty and Experts Accuse Israel of Genocide in Gaza

In a recent essay, Israeli historian Amos Goldberg labeled Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide. Amnesty International and other experts and organizations have now reached a similar conclusion.

Amnesty claims Israel aims to partially or completely destroy Gaza’s Palestinian population, supported by findings in their 300-page report. This includes killing, injuring, and creating inhumane living conditions by destroying infrastructure, issuing mass evacuation orders, and obstructing humanitarian aid.

A UN committee and Pope Francis have also called for investigations, and Israeli historian Omer Bartov warns the violence must stop to prevent genocide. Despite these claims, Israel’s foreign ministry has dismissed Amnesty’s report as false, emphasizing their fight against Hamas and efforts to minimize civilian casualties.
