Aid Trucks Allowed into Gaza Amidst Ongoing Challenges

Gaza’s over two million residents have faced severe food shortages for over a year, with most hospitals destroyed and severe fuel shortages crippling operations. An agreement between Israel and Hamas, effective today, allows for 600 aid trucks with supplies and fuel to enter Gaza daily.

Aid organizations have prepared 80,000 tons of food, enough for one million people for three months, with UNICEF having 1,300 trucks at the border carrying food, medicine, and clean water. However, both aid workers and the United Nations caution about significant challenges.
